NXGEN's MerchReport.com Key in Servicing Fortune 500 ABC Supply

ABC Supply, with 479 locations in 44 states and the District of Columbia producing sales of more than $4 billion, spent the past 5 years in search of a payment processing partner that could provide three essential requirements: US-based customer service, custom analytical reporting, and lower fees. NXGEN and Elavon were able to deliver on them all.
"After listening to countless sales pitches over the years and working with several processors to develop the custom reporting I wanted to help control our credit card processing fees, I was hopeful, but skeptical, when NXGEN told me they would develop the reporting I required,? states Steve Murphy, ABC Supply Treasury Manager. The relationship began in 2009 with a short 10 location beta test. NXGEN and MerchReport.com immediately proved their intended worth and the remaining 340 locations were brought on board in August 2009. The large scale conversion to NXGEN and Elavon was completed in only 10 business days.
Murphy explains, "MerchReport.com allows me to quantify our 'controllable downgrade' opportunities by reason and dollars by branch and is allowing us to go after the approximately $1 million in excess fees that we are paying due to our own controllable actions."
On July 1, 2010, ABC Supply finalized its purchase of Bradco Supply Corp. The acquisition increased the existing 350 location industry leader by adding another 129 locations in 30 states. NXGEN and Elavon coordinated the process to ensure that new terminals were customized, programmed and delivered in only 3 days to all the Bradco locations, ready to go prior to July 1.
